Busking Etiquette

 

Buskers are often either loved or hated. When buskers honour a ‘Code of Conduct”, street entertainment flourishes, and businesses don’t complain.

Respect for others is the key to good busking etiquette. Be aware of where you are playing, whom you are playing to, and what kind of a response you are getting. If people are giving you dirty looks, you may be doing something wrong. Think about your fellow buskers, and don’t locate right next to an accoustic guitar player if you are playing a loud instrument. Watch the volume of your amplification if you have it.
